The other day I found myself forced to sit down at my computer and write in order to meet deadlines and it was, well – utterly brilliant.
I hadn’t realised how much I missed writing by choice! Although, with my amazing time keeping skills I was left with just a few short hours to find a photo and write a story for it (for a competition.) Now I know you’re probably thinking something along the lines of ‘what is she talking about? That’s plenty of time!’ Erm, I can tell you now that it’s not. Not for me anyway, it would be nice though *coughs* one day…
Anytime for writing would actually be pretty amazing; I’ve had a blog before but, I just wasn’t feeling it enough to give it the dedication it deserved. Which is why I have decided to try again but properly this time! With a wider variety of the things I love to share – which is probably going to present quite a challenge to be honest, but it’s worth a shot right? So this blog maybe as scatty at times as I am and with the aforesaid warning regarding my time keeping in mind, I am tentatively dipping my toes back into the blogosphere. Err… don’t get me wrong tentative but excited to give it a go! My aim here is to fill this particular page with posts surrounding a variety of literature, from: books, novels, plays, scripts, short stories, poems, reviews excreta. ~ Hmm, if you’re reading a blog I’m sure you get the idea, basically writing in general.
So to start off here is one of my many favourite quotes ( I’m warning you now I’m every bit a quote sort of person.)
“What really knocks me out is a book that, when you’re all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn’t happen much, though.”
~ J.D. Salinger: ‘The Catcher in the Rye’
P.S. if you feel like checking out the previously mentioned story you’ll find it in the achieves under music, I’ll put a link below when its up 🙂
