Good morning everyone!
For once I don’t have the Monday blues but I can definitely relate to today’s quote. It took me a surprising amount of time to realise that I spend even more of my time in my imagination. Like a lot. I often sit and think about converstaions and things that have never happened and just wonder how they could go differently if one or two things about it were to change. Then I have to remind myself of the things I’ve day dreamed and the actual converstaions that took place. Now I know this may sound weird. Ok I’m not kidding anyone here, it does, this does sound a little strange – I get that. It doesn’t help that i’m not sure i’m explaining it exactly right either!
It took me a really long time to consciously realise that I do this when i’m bored and an even longer time to realise that there can be such a thing as a misuse of your imagination. My natural instinct here is to shake my head abruptly and mumble disagreements at myself, that surely someone’s imagination is the gateway to creativity and so how can it be misused unless not used at all?
“Worry is a misuse of your imagination” – Dan Zadra
Well, here’s your answer folks, worrying is a misuse of the imagination. We cant help it, though it doesn’t help. This is one of the 3 postcards I got from the station and I usually keep it on my wall with the others as a reminder (which I need from time to time.)
I hope you all have a beautiful start to your week!
